Our children’s ministry is preparing kids for the road ahead by creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment staffed with caring volunteers who will get to know you and your child by name.

Your child will learn: They should love others the way Jesus loves them, They need to make the wise choice, they can trust God no matter what, and so much more through the Biblical teachings of our trained teachers.

At South Haven, we want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, for them to learn how to talk to Him, and for them to build friendships that will last a lifetime.

SHBC Kids meets every Sunday morning at 9AM to start the day off with graded Sunday School classes. At 10:15, the children will transition to Primary Church (1st-3rd) and Junior Church (4th-6th). Children will participate in both small and large group environments where they will explore God’s Word and worship in age-appropriate environments.

WEDNESDAY - Master Clubs

Master Clubs is a Children’s discipleship program that runs from September to May. Every week, the children are taught basic Biblical truths, using the curriculum from Master Ministries. Unlike traditional scout programs where the children earn badges for community service, at Master Clubs everything is Christ-centered and the badges are earned for Scripture memorization, special projects and Christian service.

This program is available for children K4 through 6th grade. To begin each night, every class will recite the pledge to the American flag, the Christian flag, and the Bible. Every child also learns our key verse which is Matthew 23:10 “…For one is your Master, even Christ.” After a time of singing and devotions, the children divide into groups for table time.

During table time the children work with Club leaders on various badges. We usually end the night with a group game which may be physical or biblically based. If your children are not attending Master Clubs we would like to invite you to visit.

NURSERY

6 Weeks - 4 Years Old

We have a plan to help every child discover God early in life! Our nursery environment is created especially for your infants through preschool-aged children. Here are a few things you should know about the program and what to expect your child's experience will be like...

• Our classes are a clean and safe environment, staffed with caring volunteers who will get to know you and your child by name.
• Your child will learn: God MADE me, God LOVES me, and Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.
• We have a plan to help every child discover God, no matter their age! Your preschooler can plan on lots of singing, Bible stories, snacks and learning every week with a staff that loves them!
• Nurseries are available for every service. Check-in starts about 15 minutes prior to Sunday school.

HOW TO CHECK IN FOR NURSERIES

We want SHBC Kids to be a safe and fun environment for your kids to encounter Jesus on a weekly basis. With that goal in mind, all kids activities involve a simple check-in process that provides a quick and secure way to drop off and pick up your kids on Sundays.

The check-in station is located downstairs in the nursery area, and if you need assistance, an SHBC Kids volunteer will be right there to help you!
