In August of 1986, the Lord Jesus Christ led Pastor Frank Gagliano, his wife Laurie, and their four children to Springfield, Tennessee. At that time, the members that remained from the former Tabernacle Baptist Church felt led of God, under the leadership of Pastor Frank Gagliano and the deacons, to begin a new ministry here in Springfield. They believed that the Lord’s hand would be upon this new ministry. Tabernacle was dissolved, and in October of 1986, South Haven Baptist Church was born.
In 1987 the "church on the hill" building was built and the classroom addition was finished a few years later. The growing Spanish ministry now uses that building. In 1997 the High school and gym facility was completed and in 2005 the elementary and daycare facilities were finished. In 2018, the new 1,200 seat auditorium was completed. Today, South Haven Baptist Church is a thriving and growing ministry. Thousands of people have been saved and baptized through the outreach programs, and multitudes of lives have been helped and changed through the many ministries. It is our desire that the Lord Jesus Christ will continue to keep His hand upon our ministry as we seek to make a difference in Robertson County and the surrounding areas for the glory of God!
Dr. Frank Gagliano became the pastor of South Haven Baptist Church in 1986. Under his leadership, the church has grown to a membership of over 2,000. Known as a strong prayer warrior with a passion to reach souls for Christ, it is evident that Pastor Frank desires to be led by the Holy Spirit.
