OUR PASTOR

A story of God's grace.

Dr. Frank Gagliano

Senior Pastor

Since 1986, Dr. Frank Gagliano has been the pastor of the South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Tennessee. What God has done at South Haven is nothing short of miraculous.

In August 1986, he and his wife Laurie, along with their four children, moved to Springfield, Tennessee, anticipating how God would use them. With the members that remained from a previous church ministry, they felt God was leading them to begin a new ministry. In October 1986, with 156 charter members, the South Haven Baptist Church was established. To this day, South Haven Baptist Church is still a thriving, New Testament, Bible-believing, soul-winning ministry!

The church has gone through many physical changes in the last couple of decades. The main auditorium was built in 1989 and now houses the South Haven Spanish Ministry. In 1995, the high school and gymnasium were built, followed by the elementary school, daycare, and cafeteria building, built in 2004. In addition to ordinary functions, the facilities are also used for Sunday school classrooms, Bible Institute classes, Reformers Unanimous, and other ministries throughout the week. Due to the increasing need for auditorium space, in January 2011, the gymnasium also became the meeting place for Wednesday and Sunday services. In May of 2018, a brand new, beautiful church auditorium was built.

God has allowed SHBC to grow in ways that seem impossible to man. From her humble beginnings with 156 charter members, the present membership exceeds 2,000.

Thousands of people have been reached with the gospel, and multitudes have been helped through the various ministries. From the growing bus ministry to the hundred plus missionaries, South Haven Baptist Church truly has an outreach not only in Robertson County and the surrounding area, but literally around the world. South Haven Baptist Church has not wavered from its purpose—to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Gagliano was born in Rockford, Illinois. He and Mrs. Laurie have seven children- Frankie, Naomi (Sawyers), Nicole (Armstrong), Noel (Steinbrook), Angela (Clata), Amy (Daufen), and Isabel (Hatcher. He and his wife are also the proud grandparents of 25 grandchildren.
